Job Brief:
We are searching for a Senior Accountant with expertise to supervise general accounting operations through financial transaction management and verification.
The senior accountant's duties including balancing bank statements and account balances, keeping up with the general ledger, and organizing month-end closing processes. In order to examine financial data and predictions, a good senior accountant combines strong analytical abilities with in-depth understanding of accounting concepts. Additionally, the ideal applicant has management and/or support expertise in leading a group of junior accountants.
Responsibilities:
- Posting, allocation, verification, and reconciliation of accounts receivable and payable
- Creating accurate accounting reports and delivering the findings
- Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial position
- Find mistakes and provide solutions to increase productivity and save expenses
- Advice on management accountants and provide technical support
- Review accounting systems and procedures and recommend modifications
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers
- Take part in the process of creating financial standards and forecasting
- Provide input into department’s goal setting process
- Compile financial statements and create a budget on time
- Assist with tax audits and tax returns
- Conduct both internal and external audits to verify adherence.
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work
Support month-end and year-end close process - Establish and document business and accounting processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with other financial and accounting team members to improve overall procedures
Requirements:
- Min 5 Years of GCC Experience in Audit and Accounting
- Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- CA Inter/ACCA/Master in Finance
Proficient in MS Office-Excel - Good Communication and Writing Skills
- Must be available in U.A.E
- Assuring efficiency and accuracy in all of our accounting operations is one of the senior accountant's responsibilities.
