4. Steps and Procedures

1. Submit Application Form:

   • Visit the Ministry of Economy’s website at www.economy.ae.
   • Complete and submit the application form through the online portal.

2. Application Review:

   • The application is forwarded to the relevant department for examination.
   • Applicants receive an official decision within 30 days from the date of application submission.

3. Publication of Announcement:

   • Once accepted, the applicant must publish an announcement in two local Arabic newspapers at their expense, lasting for one day.

4. Trademarks Bulletin Publication:

   • A publication in the trademarks bulletin, issued monthly, further highlights the registered brand names.

5. Objection Period:

   • A 30-day objection period follows the last announcement of the brand name.

6. Registration Period:

   • The brand name must be registered within 30 days after the objection period concludes.

7. Late Fees:

   • Delay fines are imposed for late payment of brand name publication and registration fees.
